Layering is the way to dress at the start of Spring, and to make it look as effortless as a fashion shoot:
 Keep the layers thin or you'll feel and look bulky, and who needs that?
Choose things that you can put on and take off easily and still look great
Cardigans are a must for layering; invest in a few of different shapes and colours and use at will
Try out contrasting and complementary colours; it’s a great way to jazz up your outfit
If you feel the cold, invest in a thermal vest – no-one will know but you!
Have a go; try some things together and see what you can create

A personal consultation, 2 hours shopping followed by a professional review designed to discover your best colours and styles to wear and where to find them. Also available as a morning session with lunch for £135 or an afternoon session with high tea for £110.

Set up an appointment with one of John Lewis' trained fashion advisors. Once you've told them what you're looking for, you can relax while they get to work. Your advisor will have plenty of ideas - many of which you may have overlooked yourself. They'll make sure that the clothes they choose work with each other, so you get maximum use from them, and even let you know when new collections from your favourite designers come in. Appointments last 1 ½ hours.
