Facebook delivers on style stakes for Mothers Day!

On Mother’s Day this year thecentre:mk awarded one of their lucky Facebook followers the perfect Mother and Daughter day out. The day included a full styling session with Monsoon’s expert stylist with £200 to spend in store, followed by a gorgeous meal at Carluccio’s in Destination Dining.

The lucky winner was Viv Gilbey from Dunstable and her  Mum Gwenda Jones. Mother and daughter enjoyed their luxury style day on Wednesday 27 April at thecentre:mk. “I was so surprised when I logged on to Facebook and saw my name pop up! You think you will never win these kinds of things and I was so pleased to tell Mum and treat her as we have an important family wedding on the horizon!” commented Viv.

Viv and Gwenda’s day began at 11am as Nancy Steven’s greeted them into her bespoke style room in Monsoon at thecentre:mk, they then took some time to discuss what they were looking for. Nancy then set out to help Viv and Gwenda, to find the perfect outfit for a family Wedding they are attending this summer and offer them her invaluable advice and assistance.

Viv and her Mum went onto spend their £200 prize on the perfect wedding outfit each, Viv decided on a navy and turquoise maxi dress with matching bolero and silver disk jewellery, while her Mum got the perfect wedding ensemble from a classic navy shift with matching summer heels and bolero cover up. Viv continued “We had such a perfect day and Nancy’s suggestions have been so helpful, both Mum and I have tried things on we would never have picked up normally. Nancy’s product knowledge and styling experience made us feel so at ease and I can’t believe that her service is complementary to all Monsoon shoppers and the room is beautiful, it’s fantastic and I will definitely be coming back in the future especially to find some special pieces for my holiday wardrobe!” The lucky Mother and Daughter then went on to enjoy a complementary 3 course meal with wine in Carluccio’s at thecentre:mk.

Melanie Beck, head of marketing and communication at thecentre:mk commented “We were so pleased with the response to our recent Facebook campaign for Mother’s Day, it is great to bring our retail partners together and offer a fantastic gift such as this to our Facebook fans. As we continually look to grow our Facebook page, we hope to do many more competitions such as this, in the future where our fans are constantly rewarded.”
