Volunteers Day
2010 VOLUNTEERS’ FAIR
VOLUNTEER AND LIVE LONGER
According to research, people who volunteer live longer, happier and healthier lives* and the Volunteers Fair on the 8 June in Middleton Hall at thecentre:mk is the perfect place to find out more.
The Volunteers’ Fair is the showcase for volunteering in Milton Keynes, providing a great opportunity to find out about the vast range of volunteering opportunities available locally and highlighting the excellent work done in the community.
This year over 40 local organisations are exhibiting including BalancED MK (Community Based Eating Disorders Service), Ride High (who give disadvantaged children from MK the opportunity to learn to ride and care for horses) and Headway MK: the brain injury association. With the Mayor’s reception at 3pm, plus demonstrations including guide dog training, tai chi, country dancing and lots of entertainment happening throughout the day it an event not to be missed!
