The Royal Wedding sets trends for thecentre:mk Wedding Show
Friday 4 through to Sunday 6 February welcomes the return of the hugely popular wedding show at thecentre:mk. The wedding show is one of the largest free events of its kind in the region, with over 135 stands and live catwalk shows throughout the weekend.
The announcement of the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in April this year is influencing many couples-to-be with a surge in popularity of blue sapphire engagement rings, how the bride should travel to the venue and even the itinerary for the special day. Prince William and Kate are expected to have a buffet lunch rather than a banquet, which has urged engaged couples to re-think their choice of Wedding breakfast. This year thecentre:mk wedding show will offer brides-to-be an opportunity to plan their perfect day and hand pick every personal detail from the finest retailers in Middleton Hall. The event will also include catwalk shows of the latest bridal wear and lingerie which will take place on Saturday and Sunday at 12pm, 2pm and 4pm.
For the first time ever thecentre:mk wedding show will exhibit wedding carriages available to book, for brides who want a more traditional arrival to their wedding. As well as bridal wear and transport, bespoke cake makers, specialist florists, wedding stationery designers, professional photographers, bridal jewellery stockists and wedding venue representatives will all be on hand to help couples make their special day perfect.
“A one-stop-shop for all wedding ideas, the wedding show will have everything a couple has to think of all under one roof, enhanced with spectacular fashion shows three times a day” said Jackie Tracey event manager at thecentre:mk.
“This year we have more exhibitors than ever before, including the addition of Allerston Taylor and Regency Carriages, who will be exhibiting the finest carriages for brides to travel in on their special day. With a more traditional feel this year, weddings may look to reflect the regal essence of the very special marriage of Prince William and Katherine coming up in April.”
thecentre:mk wedding show will be be open from 9am until 6pm each day. Further information can be found at thecentremk.com or alternatively visit centralexhibitions.co.uk
