Health & Safety Policy Statement

Central Milton Keynes Shopping Management Company (CMKSMC) Health & Safety policy is to meet as a minimum the legal obligations placed upon the company by the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974, Regulatory Reform Order (fire safety) 2005, Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, and any other statutory legislation as may be applicable to our undertaking.
By adhering to the above requirements and managing risk through suitable and sufficient risk assessment the CMKSMC will provide and maintain safe systems of work and equipment whilst providing healthy working conditions for all employees where reasonably practicable. The CMKSMC also accepts responsibility for the health and safety of tenants, contractors, visitors and any other party that could be affected by CMKSMC work activities.
The Centre Director will ensure that the policy and associated arrangements for health, and safety management is applied throughout the company with senior management, managers, supervisors, team leaders and all other employees taking responsibility for health, safety and environmental concerns in order to obtain the company objective of continuous improvement.
These objectives will be achieved through proactive monitoring, reviewing and amending to continually improve on Health & Safety issues. The Health and Safety Advisor and Health and Safety Committee will provide the necessary advice and support to all employees, tenants, contractors and their representatives whilst providing information, instruction, training and supervision as required for this purpose.
This policy forms part of and should be read in conjunction with the CMKSMC ‘Health & Safety Manual’ which will be reviewed on a regular basis and amended when required.
